Swifterkamp 2023

The next European Stone Age Gathering will take place at the pristine Swifterkamp, Natuurpark Lelystad, The Netherlands. 

This place is set in a beautiful foresty area around a sizeable lake with various crevices and hiding spots, and small clusters of beautiful Stone Age huts on both sides of the lake, as well as Neolithic houses around a central fireplace. Archaeology students from Groningen University also do various experimental archaeology projects in the park. As in other years, we plan to have various workshops by craft experts. We will try to focus on an immersive experience and hope that everyone will contribute a little something to this, be it sharing of craft knowledge in workshops, ongoing experiments, music, storytelling, organizing events or food, presentations (in the evening), etc.
